Foundation Partners Scheme

The Foundation Partners Scheme is a celebration of the basis upon which Jigsaw Thornbury exists.  In the way the foundations of a house need to be strong to hold up the house, so the foundations of an organisation need to do the same to ensure the organisation can last long into the future.

At the core of our organisation are our families and around these are all the people who support them; from the community around them, to businesses to education establishments

So, we are strong together we need to work with all of these areas; drawing strength from them and providing a strong organisation to support them. We are launching the Family Partners Scheme to begin with and we will be rolling this out to the other Partner Areas in the very near future.

Family Partners Scheme

We’re asking if families are able, that they contribute the small regular sum of £2 per month to Jigsaw Thornbury to help us expand the services we offer.
Family Partners will receive:
  • A high quality goodie bag which includes gifts and a day spa voucher (first 50 families to sign up);
  • Early bird bookings on all our events and activities;
  • The opportunity to buy in to Jigsaw Thornbury to help it grow to provide more activities and equipment to support your family;
  • Earlier access to the Lending Library sessions to help make sure you can loan the equipment of your choice (from September 2017)
Family Partners is a voluntary scheme, and no family will be excluded from any activity if they do not wish to become a Family Partner. The whole family is included in this scheme, and the £2 monthly contribution covers everyone in the family, including siblings and grandparents!

Education Partners Scheme

We are getting more and more interest from nurseries, pre-schools, mainstream primary and secondary schools and special schools, and have begun to build relationships through the following actions and activities:

• Disability awareness - session for students and staff.
• Fundraising through nurseries and lending library loan equipment
• Links Primary Schools
• Interest in sending children from specific schools to our activities
• Discussions withy Pre-Schools
• Down Syndrome training
• Relationships with regard to multi-sports sessions
• Discussion around the use of  bespoke pool facilities

Launching the Education partners scheme will enable us to potentially offer further support to education providers:
• Training/awareness sessions for staff (and parents/carers) in working with children with additional needs
• The loan of equipment and resources from the Lending Library
• Holiday activities which children with special needs from these settings may wish to attend (with parents/carers)
• Sensory play sessions run at the different settings – taking resources out to pre-schools/nurseries and running sessions with their children, whether they have additional needs or not.

We will be launching this service very soon; providing affordable and reciprocal services.

Corporate Partners

We have worked successfully with a number of businesses in the area over the past year, and have formed several long term relationships which have been highly rewarding for our organisation and for those corporate partners. Each relationship is different, in terms of what it can offer and whether it is a long or short term arrangement. However, the following ideas might be helpful in guiding these relationships.

For our corporate partners, they gain:
• Publicity and marketing for their organisation
• Having a real impact within the community within which they are based;
• An involvement for their team in a hugely worthwhile cause for which most will have family involvement with; directly or indirectly

Directly, we can offer them:
• Publicity on the website and social media – logo on the “thank you”, and tweets/facebook posts about the support provided
• Invitations to events, eg holiday events, special thank you tea parties
• Presence on the “supporters wall” in the Bakery Annexe
• Opportunity for staff to volunteer on an ad hoc or regular basis
• Opportunity to put their brand on products which they have supported such as T shirts, bags or specially printed raffle tickets, for example.

We will be formally launching the Corporate Partners Scheme very soon!
