Introduction to Horses and Horse Riding
August 15 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm£10
Horse riding is at the Shepperdine Riding School. It is a small riding school with a very experienced, dedicated mother and daughter team who are keen on inclusiveness and enthusiastic about tailoring the sessions to meet the needs of our JIGSAW families. We were impressed with the happy, docile, well-cared for ponies and horses and the calm, quiet atmosphere there. Hats will be provided and it is a safety requirement to wear them at all times around the horses. Groups will be limited to 5 children, minimum age of 5 years. The session will be of 45 minutes duration. The focus is for children to gain experience of horses and horse riding in a relaxed atmosphere and at their own pace.
Please do join us for this session which is “Introduction to Horses and Horse riding.”
This is suitable for children with no horse-riding experience. The aim of this session is to allow children to spend time learning about and feeling safe around horses. If comfortable, children may groom, lead, sit and have a short ride on a pony.
There will be a maximum of 5 children in the group and we hope to have enough JIGSAW staff/ volunteers to have 1:1 for all the children
