Due to the amount of activities JIGSAW is now running there will be no capacity for late bookings to any of our events. This is due to the additional admin it requires and our workload. All events are advertised in a timely manner but please be aware they close to bookings when full OR about 3-5 days prior to the event. If you purchase a ticket to any event and are unable to attend, do not offer this to other members on social media. Instead contact the JIGSAW Thornbury events email or phone us at the base. All bookings require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel with a full refund. This allows us time to fill your space. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be non-refundable. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Parent Webinar – The Impact of Coronavirus on Education & Social Care
July 3 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 amFree
JIGSAW Thornbury invite you to join a special live webinar offering legal guidance for families on securing education and social care during coronavirus.
During the webinar Steven Baylis, specialist education solicitor from Irwin Mitchell, will look at: what has changed; what remains the same; and what this means Local Authorities can and cannot do during these challenging times. There will also be the opportunity for families to ask questions.
Steven Baylis is an Associate Solicitor specialising in education and community care law and cases in the Court of Protection involving mental capacity, best interests and deprivation of liberty. Steven represents families in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Disability Tribunals, in challenges against local authority decisions including refusals to conduct education, health and care (EHC) needs assessments, challenges against the content of EHC plans and challenging decisions to cease to maintain EHC Plans.
There will be a 45 minute information session followed by a 15 minute Q&A opportunity for parents. A member of the JIGSAW support team will also be available. Limited to 30 places. A link to join the webinar will be e-mailed to you beforehand but you must book a ticket to secure your place.
Free to existing JIGSAW members because we feel this is such an important area for our families. However if you would like to make a donation to JIGSAW to help cover our running costs please click here: https://www.jigsawthornbury.org.uk/donate/ Thanks so much for helping JIGSAW – the effects of Coronavirus have meant a significant drop in income for us at a time when demand has increased.
