Due to the amount of activities JIGSAW is now running there will be no capacity for late bookings to any of our events. This is due to the additional admin it requires and our workload. All events are advertised in a timely manner but please be aware they close to bookings when full OR about 3-5 days prior to the event. If you purchase a ticket to any event and are unable to attend, do not offer this to other members on social media. Instead contact the JIGSAW Thornbury events email or phone us at the base. All bookings require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel with a full refund. This allows us time to fill your space. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be non-refundable. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Project 5 Exam Busters
January 17, 2020 @ 4:00 pm - 5:15 pm
An event every week that begins at 4:00 pm on Friday, repeating until February 7, 2020
The feelings of stress and anxiety are normal responses to getting ready with the effort and energy to perform in an exam. However, when stress and worries become persistent and increase over the longer term, it can become toxic to our bodies; affecting concentration, memory, focus and even impact on physical health and mental wellbeing. This programme of 4 sessions will provide children with:
• Exam Busters Knowledge and information about their adolescent brain and how stress and anxiety affects our physical responses and performance in tasks;
• Strategies and techniques to use before and during exams;
• A toolkit to help acknowledge and problem solve feelings and thoughts;
• Goal-setting support to ‘BUST’ those exams;
• A chance to connect with others and find mutual support.
The sessions will be run by Lindsey Hall and Sara Waterhouse. Both have contributed to the design and implementation of the Project 5 programme for pupils with identified anxiety.
Fridays: 17th, 24th, 31st January & 7th February 4.00pm-5:15pm. The Jigsaw Base will be open from 3.30pm so that children can come along straight for school if they prefer.
£20 for the 4 weeks including Project 5 resources, refreshments and snacks.
