Due to the amount of activities JIGSAW is now running there will be no capacity for late bookings to any of our events. This is due to the additional admin it requires and our workload. All events are advertised in a timely manner but please be aware they close to bookings when full OR about 3-5 days prior to the event. If you purchase a ticket to any event and are unable to attend, do not offer this to other members on social media. Instead contact the JIGSAW Thornbury events email or phone us at the base. All bookings require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel with a full refund. This allows us time to fill your space. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be non-refundable. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Virtual Musical Theatre with BALPA
February 17 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pmFree
A fun, virtual Musical Theatre session with Eloise from BALPA (6yrs+)
“Hey there! My name is Eloise and I love all things singing, dancing and drama! I’m really passionate about children’s development through the arts and have consistently worked in educational environments and theatre schools. I love watching children reach social, emotional and physical milestones.”
This musical theatre class by Zoom will be based around the three main art forms drama, dance and singing.
- There will be a stronger focus on drama…..from copying and mimicking facial expressions to pretending to be a lion in the jungle it will be based around imaginative play and character building.
- Dance will be made up of basic movements, exploring our bodies, the way that they move and how far we can stretch them. We may also incorporate some physical theatre creating household objects ( television, washing machine, toaster etc.) out of our bodies.
- Singing will be delivered in a ‘call and response’ style, exploring the different pitches, sounds and expressions of the voice.
A parent or carer will need to be present throughout this session to support and facilitate as necessary, though Rosie from the JIGSAW Support Team will be present to help too.
Please book one ticket per child taking part for £3, even if sharing the same device for Zoom. This is so that we can limit voice/volume on the session and help all children to participate. A link to join Zoom along with visuals to help prepare your child will be sent by e-mail prior to the event.
