Due to the amount of activities JIGSAW is now running there will be no capacity for late bookings to any of our events. This is due to the additional admin it requires and our workload. All events are advertised in a timely manner but please be aware they close to bookings when full OR about 3-5 days prior to the event. If you purchase a ticket to any event and are unable to attend, do not offer this to other members on social media. Instead contact the JIGSAW Thornbury events email or phone us at the base. All bookings require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel with a full refund. This allows us time to fill your space. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be non-refundable. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

Virtual Parent Workshop: Building Family Resilience
January 18 @ 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm
An event every week that begins at 12:30 pm on Monday, repeating until March 8, 2021
The Building Family Resilience course explores what resilience is and how to promote resilience in children and families. Parent and carers can learn how to help children nurture the skills to bounce back from challenges in life and develop self-confidence.
The course will provide you with practical skills and strategies to help to develop resilience both for yourselves as parents or carers and for your children. You will work with the tutor to discuss real life scenarios that can be overcome using easy to follow strategies, leading to a greater level of confidence in navigating family life.
Delivered in association with South Gloucestershire Community Learning by Jonathon Hope. In booking this course you will be required to consent to giving your contact details to South Gloucestershire Community Learning as they will contact you to complete their registration and funding process.
A course of 6 online sessions: 18 & 25 January; 1 & 8 February; 1 & 8 March (nb includes a two week break for half term). £15 per person admin charge for the course. Members of the JIGSAW training team will participate in the sessions to give support to members but also provide signposting to our other support services.
