Our events

Our events include holiday activities, after school clubs, training sessions for families and professionals as well as social events for parents.

Important Notice

To access any of our resources or attend our regular or one off events you must be a family member of JIGSAW Thornbury (please note to book on as a professional to the Project 5 conference this doesn’t apply). It is free to join. All you need to do is fill out a membership form and we will issue you with a membership number and card. You will need to input this number when booking events through the website.

You can join online here

All bookings require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel with a full refund. This allows us time to fill your space. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice will be non-refundable.

The Willow Trust Canal Boat Trip (Morning Quiet Session)

We have two trips available on The Willow Trust fully assessible canal boats on the Gloucester-Sharpness canal. The morning session will be a quiet session for children, who are noise sensitive and who are quiet in themselves. Both sessions will have a maximum of 30 people. Ukulele Dan Age 6+

August 22 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Learn ukulele & jamming session with Dan Budd Age: 6+ years old We will run 1 or 2 sessions in the morning, depending on how bookings go. The second session will be 11:30am-12:30pm. We will let you know the time of your session nearer the date when bookings have closed.

Old Down Country Park

August 28 @ 10:30 am - 2:30 pm

We will have use of the yurt during the day Carers go free - with a valid proof of identity to show that the accompanying person is a carer. It will be your responsibility to bring the proof on the day. As this is a group booking with exclusive use of yurt we are charging a £1 booking fee for carers please choose this option when booking.

Hedgehog Rescue (Primary School Age)

August 30 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

The Hedgehog Rescue talk is very visual using toy hedgehogs to emphasise the dangers we cause through carelessness & thoughtlessness. We will let you know the time of your session nearer the date when bookings have closed. This is suitable for primary school age children Due to space at the JIGSAW Family Base & noise levels for the hedgehog each sessions will be limited to one adult attending with each child space booked.

The Lending Library offers around 300 specialist items for families to borrow. Items include toys, SEN equipment and sensory items. To enable you to borrow from the Lending Library, you must be a member of JIGSAW Thornbury. Our online form can be found on our website. Project 5 Conference Supporting & Understanding Anxiety, Mental Health in Children
