JIGSAW Thornbury is 10!
We have set a £10,000 community fundraising target to achieve together with our valued supporters, both existing and new, by end of March 2024. This is in celebration of the life changing impact we have had for over 850 families over the last decade and to raise funds so that we can continue to provide vital services within our community.
Join in with the celebrations by taking on your own #JIGSAW10For10 fundraising challenge and help us keep our life changing impact going. You can take on any challenge of your choosing, or join in with one organised by us.

Saturday 4th May
We are holding the first ever Thornbury Community Dog Show outside JIGSAW Thornbury in the St Mary Centre. There will be something for everyone, with classes including classics such as a puppy round and best rescue dog, to fun rounds of musical sits and a ‘best dressed’ fancy dress competition.
Tickets for all classes will be on sale for £2 each from the JIGSAW venue in the St Mary Centre from 10am on the day of the event, with member young hander sessions from 10-11am and a timetable of events open to the public happening between 11:20 and 4pm. Spectators with or without dogs are welcome too!
The inspiration for this event has come from our very own Therapy dog, Albus, who helps our members feel calm and more comfortable joining in at many of our 17 services.
Fill your wellbeing cup with a Jolly JIGSAW Get Together!
We are launching a campaign to bring people together, tackling isolation and improving wellbeing throughout January and beyond. Anyone will be able to host a Jolly JIGSAW Get Together to help their friends and family feel more connected, whilst raising money for JIGSAW to provide children and young people with additional needs or disabilities, and their families, a safe space to connect.
The inspiration for this campaign comes from our very special JIGSAW wellbeing breakfasts and afternoon teas, which we host regularly for parents and carers of children and young people with additional needs or disabilities. These events have been described as ‘a hug on a plate’ and ‘a perfect chance to leave the world behind’. We want to share these wellbeing benefits with the whole community by encouraging as many people as possible to host their own get together. The funds raised at these events will help us offer more opportunities for parents and carers to take time for themselves to recharge, and for children and young people to have fun trying new things in a safe space.

resources for a Youth Club session, which creates a safe space for 10 young people with additional needs or disabilities, aged 14-25 years.
£100 could fund...
5 families to access our home education support group for 1 term, which aims to reduce isolation for both parents and their children by increasing opportunities for social interactions and developing connections.
£1000 could fund...
the materials and activity costs for 1 year’s worth of our Wellbeing Goes Wild sessions, which aims to help parents and carers rebuild a sense of self and develop or regain resilience, confidence, joy and freedom through activities.
