SUPPORT GROUPS
We aim to support parents, grandparents and carers of children and young people with additional needs or disabilities. Our groups give you space to be and a place to connect, talk and share.
Our support groups
Come along to our weekly support groups to chat, share and have a cuppa. Children of all ages are welcome at our Tuesday support group and Thursday home ed group. We have a range of toys and activities available and volunteers to support. Our Wednesday Creative Wellbeing group is adults only, for those who will benefit from a quiet, restful environment while their children are at school or being cared for by someone else for a couple of hours. We also hold woodland wellbeing sessions for parents and carers, which are a chance to unwind and connect with nature.
Please note, these run during school term time only.
When are they?
Tuesday support group 10:00am – 11:30am
Wednesday Creative Wellbeing 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Thursday home ed group 1:00pm – 2:30pm
Woodland wellbeing runs at different times so that people with different schedules can join in.
Our Tuesday and Wednesday support groups are free for members, you are welcome to give a voluntary donation of £2 per session to help us cover our costs so we can continue to support families.
Please book all sessions you would like to attend via our events page on the website. Pre-booking is required so that we are able to manage numbers and cater to everyone’s needs.
Why come along?
Our support groups are here for all parents and carers who are in need of some company to have a chat and share any worries or concerns they have. You don’t have to come with your child or commit to attending regularly. The group is here to help you when you need it.
