A message from Albus our therapy dog…………………..
“Sue, one of our sessional trainers, and I have been working hard during the summer. Many meetings around my water bowl, biscuit breaks and long walks in the woods. But it has all been worth it, as together, we have produced an awesome new Project 5 Journal developed to support young people’s mental health resilience.
It is full of information, hints and tips to help manage big emotions, stress and anxiety as well as getting better sleep and finding new connections. There are puzzles, mindfulness and exercises to make you think. Not forgetting pictures and help from one handsome dog!
I will be personally signing copies of our new Project 5 journal at the launch on Saturday 27th September, at our community café at JIGSAW’s home in Thornbury.”
The new Project 5 Journal is now available in the JIGSAW online shop for £10.

The journal comes spiral bound in a clear A5 folder. Perfect for adding your own stickers or decoration.
The core journal includes:
- 5 steps of wellbeing
- All about me
- My brain and me
- Gratitude
- Daily check in
- Useful apps and websites
The journal can be used by itself, or is the perfect accompaniment to our Project 5 Growing Empowerment Together (GET) monthly sessions.
This monthly group has been developed from our successful Project 5 mental health resilience programme. The sessions aim to grow confidence, connection, self-awareness and independence for children and an increased awareness to help children and their parents grow their empowerment together. Through games and craft activities linked to themes, the family has a chance to encourage communication, learn skills, share, and connect with peers.
The sessions are for members and non-members aged 8 years+, whether or not you have taken part in Project 5 before. We welcome anyone with additional needs or disabilities, and any siblings. Parents and carers attend alongside their children. Thanks to funding, there are subsidised places available to attendees of SEND Cluster 1 schools within South Gloucestershire.
